Organizations whose research and development activities may be eligible for grant support can send a letter of inquiry to the McMahan Center-Abilities Activists at inquiries@abilitiesactivists.bm.

Such a letter should describe a research concept or the development of a program that focuses on areas of practice that would, if funded, enable your organization to find solutions for people that look beyond disabilities or other life challenges. The solutions you propose should link these target populations to abilities that can help them become more independent and productive in their lives. The grant would provide the means and the opportunity to help accomplish key aims and objectives on their behalf.

Letters of inquiry should briefly describe the issues the proposed project would address; experience the organization has had regarding the area of research or development for which grant support is sought; estimated budget for and expected duration of the project; and qualification of key personnel associated with the project.

Organizations will be contacted for further consideration only through an invitation to submit a full proposal.
