The McMahan Center - Abilities Activists is a nonprofit Bermuda
based foundation.
How we refer to individuals who have been confronted by a disability
or other life challenges can influence our perception of what
people are capable of accomplishing. It is our belief that all
people have abilities, and that it is essential to define a
person with reference to these abilities and not with reference
to what they are not able to do.
For each and every one of us, therefore, we hold true that all
of us are people with differing abilities, that is, capable
of using our unique range of abilities to develop fully in our
own way. |
